The following bill aims to require access to Full-Term Abortion in Pennsylvania.

HB1957 – 2 pages.
Amends the PA Constitution providing the right to abortion.. “without discrimination on the basis of… age…” until birth. See the Text of the bill.
ACTION: – This bill has passed the House and moved to the Senate State Government committee, chaired by Cris Dush. Call Senator Dush (contact info) and make sure he knows that this bill must never see the light of day.

Regarding the practice of abortion: repealing provisions relatingย to short title of chapter and to legislative intent, further providing for definitions, repealing provisions relating to medical consultation and judgment, to informed consent, to parental consent, to abortion facilities, to printed information, to Commonwealth interference prohibited, to spousal notice, to determination of gestational age, and more… While there is “lip service” to parental consent, there is also a provision in the bill that would eliminate the need for minors to obtain parental consent, “if the pregnant woman is mature and capable of giving informed consent…”.
