Thanks to your engagement – and the overwhelming response of millions of others – Senator Thune is bringing The SAVE America Act to the Senate floor.
Following are provisions of the Act:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship for Voter Registration
- Photo ID Requirement to Vote
- Maintenance and Purging of Voter Rolls
- State Implementation Obligations
- Coordination with Federal Data
Following are the actions that you can take NOW to advance this critical legislation:
- Call senator Thune – AGAIN – at 202-224-2321. Thank him for finally agreeing to bring The SAVE America Act to the senate floor. HOWEVER… the new demand: he must NOT file cloture on the bill until it passes.
- Call John Fetterman at 202-224-4254. Tell him:
- These measures are broadly supported by Democrat and Republican voters across all demographics. There is virtually no rational reason why this should not go to President Trump’s desk to be signed into law.
- NOT passing this presents an existential threat to our Republic. You must get Senators on the record.
- Without these kinds of common sense reforms, Americans cannot have confidence in the outcome of their elections, and we will not see an opportunity like this again.
NOTE: For understandable reasons, many Americans object to RealID – an authorized form of identification in the SAVE America Act. While this legislation allows *enhanced* RealID, if available (some states), it does not *require* it.
